Shuttle Concierge at the Rolex Shanghai Masters (since 2009)

Tennis tournament in Qi Zhong Stadium, Shanghai

Arrived in Shanghai from Germany feeling jetlagged, and looking forward to working with a local team of 85 Chinese drivers. Working with translators, I was given the task of leading the transportation service for one of ATP’s most popular tournaments. This included organising all the vehicles as well as a half-hourly bus service. Depending on traffic, the journey time can be around 45 minutes, or up to two hours on bad days or if it’s raining. That makes planning harder. Luckily journeys this long benefit from in-car wifi and smartphones for personal entertainment.
